Evolution

We have all experienced some form of suffering, whether it be driven by hatred, greed, confusion, or delusion about who we really are. A large part of the work we do at the Jungle Kitchen is about releasing past trauma and letting go of the things that don’t serve us anymore. But this path of transformation is also about cultivation.

Through this awareness we develop the capacity to sense where and when the energy within us is not flowing freely and we become empowered to dissolve blockages as well as to consciously invite and conduct life-force-energy to serve the natural intelligence within us.

With the initial work focused on cleansing and purifying your physical body to prepare you for the next stages, one reasonable expectation is that you will experience a strong purge when drinking ayahuasca (hence the given name, “La Purga”).

Ayahuasca has been recognized as a medicinal healing agent for thousands of years by indigenous cultures along the Amazon River.

Western research regarding potential therapeutic effects of ayahuasca has taken off over the past 15 years, and although still evolving, numerous studies have suggested that ayahuasca has the potential to produce a range of health and well-being effects.

Research to date, for example, has suggested possible effects including:

Reductions in depression, anxiety and minor psychiatric symptoms
